How to add facebook ‘Like Box’ to your website
If you are running a portal,blog or any type of website you can promote it well through Facebook. Facebook is the largest social networking site. Besides peoples profiles you can create profiles for your business, website or what ever you wish, that is called Pages in Facebook.
If users are interested they can become fan of that page. So that is how promotion growing. The like box widget can be used to display your Facebook fans on your own site. If you want to create a page in Facebook follow this link http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php. After promoting this page though your facebook account, make ‘Like Box’ widget for your site.
To make widget follow this link http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box. There you can see an input box for Facebook page id, you can find your Facebook page id from page url. For example if http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lactose-Free-Milk/185550966885 is you Facebook page url the last part ie.185550966885 is ur Facebook page id. Copy that and paste it on Facebook Page Id, then Facebook will create your Like box widget automatically
